Shamar Hope Haven Residential Treatment Center is a Behavioral Health and Chemical Dependency Treament Program exemplifies state of the art techology in the treatment of behavioral health and substance use disorders. We are dedicated to providing research based, culturally and developmentally approprriate therapeutic modalities to our clients and their families. We are committed to excellence in our mandate of teaching our clients the skills necessary to live health and drug free lives.

Sharon A. Evans has been the Executive Director for Shamar Hope Haven Residential Treatment Center since its founding in 2001. In this position, she manages the day-to-day operations of the agency, supervising the administration of all Programs. She also serves as liaison between SHHRTC and Funding Agencies and handles all public relations activities. Sharon A. Evans received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice at Grambling State University of Louisiana after working in "corporate America," for 10 years, Mrs. Evans decided to step out on faith to serve our youth. Her former professional affiliations include serving as a Board Vice President of the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce. Board Member of: Houston Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. She presently serves as a Board Member of the Monarch Child Development Center and Everyday Life, Inc. Residential Treatment Center. She currently is a actived member of Windsor Village United Methodist Church and a member of the Christiain Mother's In Action. Sharon A. Evans hobbies include a daily early morning walk around the track, traveling, vacationing with her family and having fun with family, friends and fellowshipping with friends. If you're ever at Shamar Hope Haven you can catch Mrs. Evans singing to the clients, crying with the clients are just having a good time with the boys of Shamar Hope Haven. The boys are a joy to me and if I had to start over I would do it the same way, with LOVE AND FAITH."An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips". Shamar Hope Haven Residential Treatment Program represents the first step in a child's ongoing treatment plan. In residential treatment, residents begin the healing process by participating in a number of group and individual counseling.
